| It was
a splendid spring day, a myriad of boats dangled on the azure blue lake, as if
competing with the blue of the sky, some were racing. Situated on a 72-acre
private island in the most pristine lake of all, the resort features a
historic, colonial hotel and adjoining 'lodges'. The grounds were superbly
manicured and nicely planted and the scent of pines inspired us to breath deep.
Check-inn was delightful, all three ladies behind the elaborately designed
front-desk smiled at once. |

The resort and the entire lake region

|
| Slowly
but surely we got to understand why this elegant resort is a year-round
destination. Besides its breathtaking location it is a sports paradise,
featuring a championship golf course, tennis courts, a sailing school and easy
access downhill skiing in the winter. Throughout its vibrant history,
the
Sagamore has been a 'social center' for the 'rich and famous' of Green
Island and Millionaires Row, noble mansions along the island's western shore.

know that you never get a second chance to make your arriving guest welcome
and
we witnessed a grand welcome for these new arrivals. The BMW was
immediately sourounded by bell staff; we were greeted respectfully by raising
their uniform hats. Then efficient, outgoing, gracious front desk personnel
recognized us by our last names, seemingly all our data was well preserved from
our last stay. Miss Helen Gorbunova, a well dressed lady emerged from a back
office and welcomed us personally, looking like shed just attended a photo
session by Vogue. |

| Dear Friends,
|
|
 |
|
|
| Happy, hectic travel season! Summer travel is in full swing. With
skies deep blue and 'hot' temperatures even in Russia, tourists are filling the
hotel lobbies, streets, shops and certainly the ever so desirable beaches.
Travel and Tourism is the largest industry in the world; can you try to imagine
what the world spends on travel? The travel and tourism industry is one of
America's largest service exports with circa ninety billion dollars spent
outside the U.S. by U.S. travelers (reports the
Travel
Industry Association of America in Washington, DC). Interestingly shopping
is seen to be one of the most popular travel activities, but over eighty
percent of adult world-travelers are also looking for historic or cultural
activities. These travelers do their research on the computer; they are looking
for deals and recognized establishments with international awards. World-class
is no longer a five star deal. Let me remind and assure you that our reviews
are always done onsite as we travel to any destination in the world. The
prestigious Seven Stars and Stripes award recognizes the company and their
management team for its continued dedication of striving for excellence on a
world level. Its time for a reality check amongst the world travel industry
leaders as it is all really about reliable excellence on any level and constant
sincere caring, one guest at a time. |
